With this painting of the buffalo, my aim was to capture the strength and wisdom of these magnificent creatures. In the wild, when a storm approaches, buffalo don't run away—they charge directly into it. This brave act shortens their time in the storm, reminding us that facing challenges head-on often leads to quicker growth and resolution. Hanging this painting in your home serves as a daily reminder that resilience comes not from avoiding hardship, but from embracing it. The buffalo's eye holds a unique connection to the earth itself, containing pigments made from the soil of Boulder. This grounding element weaves the strength of the buffalo with the raw, enduring power of the land, reminding you that your own strength is rooted in something much deeper. Each time you look at it, you're invited to face your storms with the same brave spirit. Earth pigments used: Rocky Mountain #5 & #6
