About Me EARLY DAYS I became enchanted with clay when I spent summers as a teen at Penland School of Crafts in the mountains of North Carolina.

My perspective as an artist is grounded in my ethnic heritage (Finnish), my religious vocation, and a whimsical view of the world.

Michelle Polizzi is a multidisciplinary artist and designer, drawing inspiration from ritual, ceremony, and our profound connection to the earth and the sacred.

With a deep respect for history, tradition, and the masters of the craft, I create functional art mainly from porcelain, often looking to the past for my inspiration.

I make my living as a graphic designer, but I love teaching and expanding my own knowledge by going to art classes.
