Hope, 2024

Shayna Larsen

After painting "Bumble Bear" at a small size, I had a vision for this hopeful bear to be larger than life. I've experimented with a new color palette which beautifully compliments the earth pigment in his eye. Unlike the previous painting, this bear seemed so powerful at this size the he didn't need a bee to look at. What he's looking at is for the veiw to decide. Bear Spirit provides us with strength in times when we feel weak or helpless. Earth pigments used: Rocky Mountain #5
