Claiming your profile
Our agreement with artists
When you claim your profile, this is what we each agree to. It is the whole agreement, and it applies to artists who have claimed a profile.
What we agree to
- Copyright stays with you
- Copyright in your work stays with you. Claiming a profile transfers no ownership of anything you have made.
- We don’t sell your work
- We don’t license your images to anyone else, sell prints, take a commission on your sales, or offer your work for download. If someone asks us to use one of your images, we send them to you.
- The guide is free
- No fee to be listed, no fee to claim your profile, and no cut of anything you sell.
- Your name goes with your work
- Wherever we show a piece — on the site, in an email, in a social post — you are credited as the artist who made it.
- Links point to you
- Your website, your shop, and the ways you’ve chosen to be contacted go to you directly.
- You can change your mind
- You can edit your profile at any time, ask us to stop sharing your work off the site, or ask us to remove your profile entirely.
What you agree to
- Showing your work on the site
- Your images, your name, your photograph, and the details on your profile appear across boulder.art — your profile page, artwork pages, search results, and the homepage.
- Using your work to promote you and the guide
- We may feature your work, your name, and your photograph where we promote boulder.art: on the homepage, in emails we send, on our social media accounts, and in press about the guide. Every use credits you and links back to your profile.
- Posting to our social media accounts
- When we post your work to one of our accounts, that image is subject to the platform’s own terms, the same as when you post it there yourself.
- A public page is public
- Search engines and AI assistants can read your profile. Reading it does not give anyone permission to use your work, and we have granted none.
What we won’t do without asking you first
- Use your work in a paid advertisement.
- Place your work beside a sponsor’s name in a way that suggests you endorse them.
- Put your work on merchandise, or on anything we sell.
- Share your email address with anyone.
Changing or ending this
To stop us sharing your work off the site, to remove part of your profile, or to remove it entirely, email hello@boulder.art. You don’t have to give a reason.
This is version 1.0, in effect from September 2026. If we change it, we will email every artist who has claimed a profile before the change takes effect.
