Two Medicine is one of those places in Glacier National Park that always feels a little magical to me. I love plein air painting along the lake and watching the boats make their way across the water beneath the surrounding peaks. In this moment, the sunlight poured through the mountains and scattered across the lake in thousands of tiny reflections, illuminating the boat as it passed through the scene. I returned to that experience to create this larger studio painting for my solo exhibition, capturing the quiet grandeur of the mountains and that fleeting, glittering light on the water.
