Raku Pottery Class- 8 weeks every Thursday

Sep 24 – Nov 5

Join us for an exciting and fun Summer Raku class Contemporary Raku is a modification and continuation of a 400-year-old Japanese pottery practice of making ware for the Tea Ceremony. Today we practice Raku firing for the opportunity to make and fire one piece at a time using post-firing reduction and controlling the glaze surface, as well as the making of the piece on a potter’s wheel or using hand-building techniques.
