About the Arts Center
The Oakley Art House is a one-year artist residency and community space centered around growth and camaraderie in the arts. With an emphasis on creating connections in the Boulder arts community, Oakley hopes to cultivate a welcoming environment for emerging artists pursuing excellence in their craft. It provides a safe and serene space for creatives to live together inexpensively, while focusing on growth and excellence in their respective craft. The program welcomes songwriters, sculptors, poets, novelists, photographers, painters, and musicians, and is open to other artistic focuses. Residents participate in monthly group meetings, discussions on goal setting and accountability, supportive feedback, and productive exchanges of ideas and experiences. The Oakley Art House is located on a horse farm outside of Boulder on a beautiful stretch of land.
Submission Policy
The Oakley Art House is currently looking for residents for the 2025-2026 season. Inquiries are open until March 10th. Applicants must be an artist pursuing excellence in their craft, available for house meetings, and maintain cleanliness. The program requires a relatively singular artistic focus or a particular artistic project with a goal. An open mind for artistic discussion and positive and effective criticism is also required.
