
About the Arts Center
The UCAR Center for Science Education (UCAR SciEd) serves the geoscience community by amplifying and complementing the work of the U.S. National Science Foundation National Center for Atmospheric Research (NSF NCAR) and University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) member universities by reaching audiences: K-12 educators, university faculty, students, and the public through excellence in educational programs and experiences. Mission: We develop state-of-the-art educational experiences that connect NSF NCAR & UCAR science to a broad community of learners, creating pathways towards a scientifically literate society. Vision: Engaging all learners to explore and understand our changing world. Goals: 1. To inspire, engage, and inform the public about the atmospheric and related science conducted by NSF NCAR and the university community. 2. To entrain and prepare a highly skilled and multifaceted workforce in careers in the atmospheric and related sciences. 3. To support the university community in educating students in the atmospheric and related sciences.
Submission Policy
The UCAR Center for Science Education (SciEd) is committed to partnering with principal investigators in order to provide high quality support to meet these requirements. This Digital Flyer describes several ways in which UCAR SciEd can partner with university departments to develop and carry out compelling and impactful science education projects that connect directly with the research objectives.
