Katrina Kingfisher has been an artist since she was old enough to hold a paintbrush. She has a passion for painting the spirits of animals, bringing forth the divine essence of the forest, the sea, and the sky. Growing up, Katrina learned to paint from her artist mother; she then went on to study aquatic biology in college, where she began painting fish, ancient ocean fossils, and other beloved sea creatures that can now be seen swimming through the stars in her work. An avid birdwatcher, she especially loves painting birds seen in the wild on walks with her husband. As her works become larger, Katrina is discovering that murals are an exciting way to work with a local environment, and has begun painting many more murals all over the country.
