Fine art oil paintings inspired by the people and geography of Colorado. My painting efforts are most inspired by the people and geography of Colorado, as well as the high-altitude environs that offer a dramatic quality of light. I am interested in the implied abstract qualities of my subjects, and in celebrating the palette offered through careful observation of color. I seek an immediacy in my work—based on intention, gesture and, hopefully, an interesting composition. "It is not my priority to attempt to exactly reproduce the images around me, but to interpret them in an evocative fashion that resonates with the observer."
