Aaron Jensen

Aaron Jensen (b. 1991, New York City) has been creating characters and building worlds since childhood. Growing up, he frequented NYC’s Forbidden Planet comic shop, where he enjoyed concept art for films like Alien and The Matrix. At 13, he drew his first comic about a demon named Ight who was banished from Hell after refusing to go along with the Devil’s plan to turn the underworld into a reality TV show—a project his mom praised for its “exceptional production quality.”

At 17, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving eight years. After returning to civilian life, he earned a BA in Media Design and a BFA in Drawing & Painting from CU Boulder.

In 2023, a summer afternoon sketching cartoon mercenaries led to the creation of Boipool, a narrative world that has since become the foundation of his art. Through Boipool, he imagines mercenaries patrolling endless deserts and ceaseless labyrinths of industrial sprawl, chasing missions that never quite end. It’s a story about control, brotherhood, and the routines that keep them moving—even when they can’t remember why.

He now works on Boipool full-time from his studio in Boulder, Colorado.
